Laurie's Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert

Line a 9 x 13 dish with 8-9 ice cream sandwiches (I used mint chocolate chip flavored ones from Safeway). You may need to creatively cut up the last sandwich to fill in any gaps. Spread cool whip over the top of the sandwiches. Shred a Hershey bar over the top. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the chocolate. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Cover dish with foil and freeze for 3-4 hours. Cut up to serve and drizzle chocolate syrup on the plate around each piece for decoration and extra dipping. This recipe can be made very low calorie by using Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches and non-fat, no-calorie whipped topping. You can be creative with the toppings. Caramel would be good too or any kind of chopped up candy bar. Enjoy!
